EU delays vote on managers' bonus payments
A vote on plans to cap fund managers' bonuses has been delayed by the European Parliament as it thrashes out changes to draft legislation put forward earlier this year.
MEPs are trying to find "a pro-European and cross-party compromise for waterproof consumer-protection rules" according to the lead spokesman on the legislation, Sven Giegold. The London Conservative MEP Syed Kamall says the plan is "crude" and could backfire.
