Hyder Consulting targets energy sector acquisitions
Hyder Consulting, the engineer working on the revamp of London Bridge railway station, is on the acquisition trail.
Chief executive Ivor Catto said he will target businesses in the energy sector.
Hyder recently bought Australia's PLD Consulting, a high-voltage cable design group, and has nearly £50m in unused borrowing facilities for further purchases.
However, the weak dollar Down Under hit Hyder's half-year pre-tax profit, which fell £2.2m to £7.7m, and group revenue was flat at a little more than £150m.
