J Crew hires agent to search for UK stores

J Crew, the US fashion retailer popular with first lady Michelle Obama has hired property agent Harper Dennis Hobbs to search for stores in the UK.

The brand first plans to secure a London flagship and has been eyeing up sites on Regent Street and in Covent Garden, among others. J Crew began selling its clothes online in the UK via Net-a-Porter, before moving to its own website. A few independent retailers also sell a selection from the brand's collection.
