Beauty giant L’Oréal is withdrawing its Garnier beauty products from a slowing Chinese market, a week after US rival Revlon withdrew from the country.

The French company, the biggest player in the Chinese market, will concentrate on its L’Oréal Paris and Maybelline New York products, which have been performing more strongly there. It said in October that the Chinese market, worth almost $26 billion (£15.8 billion) a year, was “slowing, although still dynamic”.
