Meadowhall to open champagne bar

Consumers face a bleak 2011 but property owner British Land – 50 per cent owner of Sheffield shopping centre Meadowhall – believes shoppers will still want to treat themselves.

Meadowhall signed a deal last week to open a champagne bar in the summer. Ben Gross at British Land said: "People are still dining out and still want to treat themselves. The bar will be close to our high-end fashion area where shoppers are still spending."
