New finance chief at BAE

Peter Lynas will take over as the finance director at BAE Systems next year, the defense contractor said yesterday.

The incumbent, George Rose, will retire from the BAE board at the end of March. Mr Lynas, currently the group's director of financial control, reporting & treasury, will take over and join the company's board in April.

Mr Lynas will also serve on the company's executive committee, reporting to the FTSE 100-listed group's chief executive, Ian King.
