1. The European Central Bank meets on Thursday, and analysts are expecting a major announcement. ECB President Mario Draghi recently hinted that there was going to be more monetary easing in the near future.

2. November was a busy month for Ryanair. The company reported a 21 per cent in traffic to 7.71 million passengers, on a load factor 5 percentage points higher at 93 per cent.

3. Barclays said it will offload its Italian retail banking network of 89 branches to CheBanca!, part of Mediobanca.

4. Swiss authorities arrested two FIFA executives Thursday as part of a US led corruption probe of international soccer’s governing body, Bloomberg report.

5. France's unemployment rate rose to 10.6 per cent in the three months to September, up from a revised 10.4 per in the previous quarter, data from the INSEE national statistics office shows. This means French unemployment is now higher than the eurozone as a whole for the first time in nearly eight years.

6. Alphabet's YouTube is aiming to get rights for streaming TV series and movies for its $9.99-a-month subscription service as it tries to step up competition against rivals such as Netflix and Amazon, the Wall Street Journal reported.

7. Sky spends $300,000 taking stake in LA-based TV4 Entertainment, which channels include All Warrior Network, Motorland, Ultimate Champion Network and the Clairy Project about children’s illnesses.

8. More than 15,000 unsafe hoverboards have been seized at ports and airports around the UK.

9. Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen said on Wednesday she was “looking forward” to a US interest rate hike that will be seen as a testament to the economy's recovery from recession.

10. Uber is understood to be testing a new colour-coding system to make sure you know exactly which car is yours.
