Thomas Cook to close regional office
Thomas Cook is closing one of its regional offices with hundreds of jobs likely to go. The company said the office in Bradford, West Yorkshire, employs 537 people but stressed some roles will be relocated to other offices.
Unions blamed the job losses on former chief executive Manny Fontenla-Novoa, saying their members "are going to pay the price of that mismanagement with their jobs".
Cook, which employs 19,000 in the UK, said the cuts were part of its previously announced turnaround.
