US consumers are feeling more confident about the economy than at any time in the last six months, according to a survey published yesterday.
The Reuters/University of Michigan confidence index was up to 65.1 in April, from 57.3 in March, its highest level since the collapse of Lehman Brothers last September. The month-on-month rise was the biggest increase since October 2006.
