The latest news from the Motley Fool: My smartest investment
Some time ago, when its share price had fallen to just a few pence and a restructuring was announced, I bought shares in Aromascan (now Osmetech). I got them at 5.5p and they are now 18p.

The Fool responds: Though you have done well, investing in penny share companies when their price is depressed is generally considered unFoolish, and is often a gamble. In the case of Osmetech, we have a company with an interesting "electronic nose" technology, but which has failed to achieve much in the way of sales. The company is burning cash and has been close to failing before, so you should think very carefully about the future of this investment.
