Gulf syndrome campaigner dies
Gulf War veterans called for immediate government action after a leading campaigner died following years of suffering yesterday. Paul Carr, 30, served in Operation Desert Storm as an anti-tank vehicle driver. Two years after the war he was no longer able to work due to a brain tumour and liver problems.
Tony Flint, of the National Gulf Veterans' and Families' Association said: "We are dying off at the rate of two a month. This government is giving us more talk than the previous one but still there is no action."
