An alternative view of the election debates, Chilcot Report and Prince Andrew

David Cameron will only be joining other party leaders in live television debates if Ed Miliband, Nigel Farage and Nick Clegg wear only their underwear, according to Cassetteboy’s latest satirical news remix.

The seamless mash-up of BBC News clips from the last month, published by the Guardian, provides an alternative take on Britain’s accident and emergency crisis, the Chilcot Report, the Prince Andrew allegations and the Prime Minister’s relationship with Barack Obama.

Huw Edwards lists Benedict Cumberbatch, Rupert Murdoch and the people of Greece among those taking part in the ever-expanding pre-election debates, while the Prime Minister has a new theory on what is causing pressure on the NHS.

“David Cameron said people were deliberately hurting themselves,” says a deadpan Fiona Bruce.

The video says his Chancellor, George Osborne, is “planning to mug accident and emergency patients”. Mr Cameron, meanwhile, warns that “people out of work in the UK can expect a punch”.

The long-awaited Chilcot Inquiry on the Iraq War will feature topless women on page three and a cartoon of the Prophet Mohamed on the cover, the report says.

Oldham Athletic FC is still considering taking on Prince Andrew, despite a petition from the Buckingham Palace asking them not to.

The Cassetteboy duo are known for online mash-ups of popular shows such as Blackadder, The Apprentice and Dragons’ Den

The only silence in the “report” comes when Edwards attempts to talk about the late Lord Brittan, the home secretary under Margaret Thatcher in the 1980s, who has been accused of child abuse.

The anchor’s lips can be seen movement but no sound comes out until he moves on to the final news of the day – that “Pope Francis has given birth”.

Cassetteboy have previously turned their mash-up skills to the US elections, Boris Johnson and television shows including The Apprentice.

In October, the duo’s remix of the Prime Minister’s conference speeches to the tune of “Lose Yourself” by Eminem went viral.
