This year, many young, influential actors, singers and celebrities have been laid to rest, and news of their untimely deaths have been shocking fans, devastating families and spreading across the social networking site Twitter like wildfire.

On December 21 the microblogging site is atwitter with the news of American actress and singer Brittany Murphy's passing.

Thirty-two-year-old Murphy reportedly collapsed in her bathroom in the morning of December 20 and was pronounced dead on arrival at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after going into cardiac arrest.

Ashton Kutcher wrote, "2day the world lost a little piece of sunshine. My deepest condolences go out 2 Brittany's family, her husband, & her amazing mother Sharon" on his Twitter account followed by a post that read, "see you on the other side kid."

A torrent of posts sending their condolences to Murphy's friends and family came from shocked fans using the social networking site.

The term "#howwouldyoufeel" is also circulating around Twitter on the morning of December 21. Twitter users are asking or responding to questions that use "How would you feel" as the jumping-off point, resulting in a series of often bizarre tweets.

"#Howwouldyoufeel if our knees was bent the other way? how would a chair look?" asked one user. "#Howwouldyoufeel if you woke up in a different country than the one you went to sleep in? With no idea how it happened?" questioned another.
