Webby winners say more with less

With 800 winners in various categories, the 14th Annual Webby Awards - the Oscars of the internet - must limit acceptance speeches at the ceremony to five words, to allow everyone time on stage and to avoid long boring thank yous.

Celebrities, businesses and entrepreneurs who received the awards at this year's ceremony, held on June 14, complied, from internet co-inventor Vinton Cerf to ChatRoulette founder Andrey Ternovskiy, The Muppets, and actor Zach Galifianakis.

"You ain't seen nothing yet," said Vinton Cerf, honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award for groundwork and a continuing vital role in the Internet.

"Internet is a cool thing."- Andrey Ternovskiy on behalf of ChatRoulette.com, Webby Breakout of the Year.

"Every character counts. Thank you." - Twitter co-founder Biz Stone.

"How am I on time?" - Zach Galifianakis, Best Actor, "Between Two Ferns" with Zack Galifianakis

"Humanity. Colonization. Phobos. Monolith. Mars!" - astronaut Buzz Aldrin who won for NASA, Best Government site

"A Webby! Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!" -  Games-Related winner TheBeatlesRockBand.com

"I say, plug the hole." - Isabella Rossellini, for her performance in "Green Porno"

"Veni, vidi, vici." - Film critic/blogger Roger Ebert, the Webby Person of the Year for raising the bar with online journalism writing about film, media, politics, and life. Ebert, got a thumbs up, his famous gesture for a positive film review, for surviving cancer.

"Five words? OK. Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious." - P.S. 22 Chorus (a real "Glee" club of 11-year-old school kids which won the Webby Artist of the Year.
