Until, that is, he met Amal Alamuddin – a relative unknown to the glitz and glamour of Hollywood – to fill an intellectual void his army of beautiful-but-bland former conquests could all but dimly gaze at.

As it turns out, she didn’t gain recognition for playing a well-educated person who saved lives on a daily basis, because that’s what she did in real life. Having written numerous articles on international criminal law, Alamuddin has also edited The Law and Practice of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon.
