Cameron Diaz ends radio interview after host mentions Drew Barrymore's 'drug years'
The actress swiftly wrapped up the live exchange following the comments

Cameron Diaz abruptly ended an Australian radio interview after the host made a joke about her close friend Drew Barrymore.
The actress was being interviewed on KIIS 106.5’s Kyle and Jackie O Show alongside Jason Segel, who stars opposite her in their new movie Sex Tape.
But the exchange turned sour when Kyle Sandilands made a reference to fellow actress Barrymore’s past struggles with drug addiction.
The awkward comment came after Jackie O mentioned that the young actress, Giselle Eisenburg, who plays Diaz’s daughter in the film, looks like Barrymore did when she was a child.
Diaz replied: “Ah yeah that’s cute. She does, now that you mention it and she’s as bright and lively as Drew is as well. She’s a sweet little girl.”
But then Sandilands said: “Let’s hope that she misses out the Drew Barrymore drug years, because those were a great thing to watch but not so good to be in, I’d imagine.”
Jackie O attempted to salvage the situation by referencing the idiom, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”, but Diaz swiftly called an end to the interview.
“We’re having to go now. Sorry, they’re wrapping us up. Sorry,” she said.
And if that wasn't awkward enough, Sandilands then found himself rebuked by his co-host.
“Well that started very well and ended poor I think. Good one, Kyle,” Jackie O said.
“You ruined that interview, sorry to be blunt, but you did.”
Sandilands attempted to defend himself by pointing out that Barrymore’s addiction was “well documented”, before suggesting that the pair continue their discussion off air.
