According to the doctor of Donald Trump, if he gets elected, the GOP frontrunner “will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency”.

Mr Trump, presently the leading candidate for the Republican presidency nomination, uploaded a letter from the New York doctor who has seemingly looked after the 69-year-old’s health since 1980.

According to Doctor Harold Bornstein, his “unequivocal” statement praising the billionaire’s exemplary health is attributable to the fact that he has “astonishingly excellent” blood pressure, has only had one instance of surgery aged 10 and the statement that he “has no history of ever using alcohol or tobacco products”.

It is this last statement in particular that social media users have taken issue with and have naturally sought to post images of Mr Trump with alcohol.

Others chose to make fun of the entire statement:

If the latest reactions to this doctor’s note are anything to go by, it appears Mr Trump’s controversial presidential campaign has no sign of slowing down.

Just last week the businessman faced international condemnation when he released a policy pledge seeking to ban the entry of Muslims into the US.
