Dustin Diamond has pleaded not guilty to charges of stabbing a man in a Wisconsin bar.

The 38-year-old TV star was charged with concealing a weapon, recklessly endangering safety and disorderly conduct.

Diamond, who played Screech in hit Nineties TV show Saved By The Bell, appeared at the court hearing on Thursday.

His lawyer Thomas Alberti said: "Dustin continues to believe the legal process will exonerate him and he is undaunted by the work that lies ahead."

Diamond denies stabbing the man with a switchblade in the bar in Port Washington, Wisconsin, on Christmas Day 2014. The man sustained a non-life-threatening wound following a scuffle.

Diamond's fiancée Amanda Schultz, 27, charged with disorderly conduct, also pleaded not guilty. Schultz allegedly pushed a woman who was harassing her and her fiancé, according to Ozaukee County Circuit Court documents.
