Jon Hamm should be celebrating his recent Golden Globe win for his portrayal as Don Draper in Mad Men.

However, the celebration is currently delayed by the fact that the Hollywood Foreign Press spelt his name wrong on the award.

Speaking to Vanity Fair and Starz, Hamm said his award arrived in the post but with the incorrect spelling of Jon.

“They spelt my name wrong which was also awesome, I was like ‘oh my god, er, guys ‘there’s no ‘H’.”

Hamm said he hasn’t yet received a new, corrected plaque but reminded inscribers of the right spelling.

“If you’re out there watching, it’s J-o-n… or Jonathan” he told the camera.

The error is surprising given that Hamm is a two-time winner of a Golden Globe and has been nominated a further six times.

Hamm won Best Actor in a TV Series for portraying Don Draper. Mad Men came to end in May, 2015 after an eight-year run.
