In the least surprising news you’ll read today, warm-hearted friend of the internet Katie Hopkins has bafflingly sided with the CIA after a recent published report accused the agency of using shocking torture techniques that went beyond what was authorised by the US Justice Department.

The Sun columnist, who is a former military cadet, managed to trivialise the tactics used by agents to extract information out of detainees by comparing them to that which she herself survived through on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here:

Minutes later, she tweeted once more about the reading the report in the benefit of hindsight. She also seemingly forgot what year she was in:

An investigation found that prisoners were locked in containers filled with insects, kept in coffin-like confinement and deprived of sleep for up to 180 hours.

No word on being forced to spend weeks on end in the company of Edwina Currie, however.

Hopkins' comments come after she labelled Russell Brand a “bully” on Twitter for posting the personal details of a Daily Mail reporter online.

He is yet to respond either on Twitter or through his popular YouTube channel The Trews. He did, however, have this to say on the topic of the CIA:
