Louis Tomlinson has issued a statement imploring paparazzi to allow his son to have some privacy after claiming the attention paid to him is becoming “intolerable”.

Briana Jungwirth, a stylist from Los Angeles, gave birth to their son Freddie in January.

In a statement obtained by People magazine, the One Direction singer said the level of attention paid to Freddie by paparazzi is intruding on his visitation and aspects of his child’s everyday life, such as attending a doctor’s appointment.

His spokesperson said Tomlinson, 24, wanted his son to be able to enjoy a "normal, private and protected childhood".

“The levels of paparazzi attention on Freddie … are intolerable and completely unjustifiable.“

Tomlinson has criticised the paparazzi in the past for trying to take pictures of him with his son.

Ms Jungworth has also been targeted by bizarre conspiracy theories and abuse from One Direction fans, which she has branded "sickening".
