In 2012, Disney acquired Lucasfilm, the company behind Star Wars, for £2.5billlion making headlines internationally.

Then last year the first Star Wars film under Disney's ownership, The Force Awakens, was released to rave reviews and huge box office success.

Despite all of this, someone at Disney’s office managed to misspell the name of the actor who plays Luke Skywalker.

On Sunday, Mark Hamill shared the “actual security pass” he was given when visiting the London office to his one million followers on Twitter and clear as a day his name is listed as “Mark Hamilton”.

Evidently, Hamill saw the funny side of the blunder, writing on Twitter “That’s MISTER Hamilton to you!”

However, replying to a fan who asked him to describe the pass in three words he wrote: “Personalised ego deflator”.

Hamill is currently working on the next instalment of the Star Wars sequel trilogy, Episode VIII, which is expected to be released in 2017.
