Madonna may adopt again from Malawi

Madonna received news of the accident while sound-checking for a gig in Italy

Madonna may adopt another child from Malawi despite controversy in 2006 when she began proceedings to adopt her son David Banda.

Critics said the Malawi government skirted laws banning non-residents from adopting children.

"Many people – especially our Malawian friends – say that David should have a Malawian brother or sister," the pop star told the Nation newspaper. "It's something I've been considering but would only do if I had the support of the Malawian people and the government."
