New Romantic pioneer Mick Karn dies

Mick Karn, former bassist with the band Japan, has died at the age of 52 from cancer.

A statement on the musician's website said he had "passed away peacefully" on Tuesday at his home in London.

Japan came to prominence in the 1980s with albums including Tin Drum and Gentlemen Take Polaroids.
