MAY I point out two errors in the obituary of Juvenal Habyarimana (by Anver Versi, 8 April)? writes Mugenzi A. Yusufu. First, no multi-party elections have been held in Rwanda; the multi-party transitional government came about following a compromise between the five main political parties. Second, the then prime minister, Nsengiyaremye Dismas, was not a Tutsi, but a Hutu from the MDR party. He was replaced by Uwilingyamana Agathe, from the same party, and she was murdered last week.
