Millions of Arabs will be praying for rain today after King Fahd of Saudi Arabia called on his subjects to pray for the heavens to open in the desert kingdom.
The official Saudi Press Agency yesterday quoted a statement from the royal court as saying that the king urged Saudis "to offer up prayers for rain in every district". The country's seasonal rains, which usually begin by the end of October, have been delayed.
