Big cuts in Britain's arms depots were announced by Archie Hamilton, the Armed Forces minister. RAF Chilmark in Wiltshire will be closed in 1995 with the loss of 250 jobs. There will also be deep cuts in the number of sites in Germany as the British Army of the Rhine is reduced in strength.
