A 14-year-old girl was allegedly repeatedly raped by a number of men after she told a drug dealer she no longer wanted to deliver drugs for him.

Thirteen men and a 17-year old youth are on trial at Bradford Crown Court charged with a total of 28 sexual offences between them.

All of the defendants deny the charges.

The court heard how after the “vulnerable” schoolgirl told Arif Choudhury, who is not on trial, she no longer wanted to be involved in delivering drugs for him, he assaulted and raped her in a churchyard, in 2011.

Mr Choudhury is alleged to have then arranged encounters with other men, involving the girl being attacked repeatedly over a 13-month period.

According to prosecutor Michelle Colborne QC, the girl was forced to have sex with five of the defendants after being taken by Mr Choudhury to Dalton Lane.

Ms Colborne said: “The whole situation shocked and upset her.”

Other incidents involved the girl being sexually assaulted in an underground car park in Keighley. At the scene police reportedly found graffiti of the girl’s and defendants' name on the wall as well as DNA evidence.

In another incident, it is alleged the girl was forced to give oral sex to three of the defendants, once behind a container outside Keighley Leisure Centre and once in a park.

The 17-year-old defendant is accused of raping the girl in another park in Keighley.

Furthermore, a taxi driver Mohammed Akram is accused of having sex with the girl after offering her a lift. He denies one charge of sexual activity with a child under 16.

Ms Colborne said the girl had a “chaotic existence” and was reported missing from home 71 times in two years.

According to the BBC, the prosecutor told the jury: “At times the girl said ‘no’, at times she struggled and at times she gave in without saying anything at all. At no time was she consenting to the act.”

She also said “some [of the men] were equally nasty in their treatment” while “one or two seemed to be ashamed after the event, but used her nevertheless.”

“This was not a happy child and that’s because she was desperate to belong. She was being exploited and was out of her depth but was too naïve to do anything about it,” Ms Colborne said.

Yasser Kabir, 25, of Belgrave Road, Keighley denies four counts of rape. Nazir Khan, 23, of Buxton Street, Keighley and Tauqeer Hussain, 23, of Belgrave Road, Keighley deny three counts of rape.

Israr Ali, 19, of Devonshire Street West, Keighley, Hussain Sardar, 19, and Saqib Younis, 29, both of Bradford Street, Lawkholme, Keighley Bilal Ziarab, 21, of Sedgwick Close, Manningham, Sufyan Ziarab, 22 of Kendal Mellor Court, Keighley, Zain Ali, 20, and Faisal Khan, 27, both of Buxton Street, Keighley all deny two charges of rape.

Rohail Iqbal, 22, Skipton Road, Beechcliffe, Rohail Hussain, 18, of Hawk Street, Lawkholme, Keighley, and a 17-year-old all deny one count of rape.

Mr Akram, 62, of Holker Street, Keighly, denies one charge of sexual activity with a child under 16.

The trial continues.
