Two more men have appeared in court charged with murdering a mother and her four children in a house fire.

Aaron Webb, 19, and Akeem Jeffers, 21, appeared before magistrates in Leicester today charged with the murders of Shehnila Taufiq, 47, her daughter Zainab, 19, and sons Bilal, 17, and Jamil, 15.

The four family members died when flames engulfed their home in Wood Hill, Leicester, on Friday September 13.

Webb and Jeffers were remanded in custody to appear at the city's Crown Court on Wednesday for a bail hearing.

Seven people have now been charged in connection with the fire.

Shaun Carter, 24, Jackson Powell, 19, and Nathaniel Mullings, 19, appeared alongside a 16-year- old at Leicester Magistrates' Court on Saturday, each facing four counts of murder.

They were remanded in custody and will appear at Leicester Crown Court tomorrow for a bail hearing.

Kemo Porter, 18, is also facing the same charges. He was remanded into custody earlier this month at Leicester Crown Court to next appear for a plea and case management hearing on Friday.
