Police hunt killer of Worcester woman

Saturday 14 April 2012 22:24 BST

Detectives investigating the murder of a woman found dead at her home in Worcester have called for help in tracing a 51-year-old man.

Jacqueline Harrison, 47, was found on Thursday and a post-mortem examination revealed she had sustained injuries as a result of an assault.

West Mercia Police said yesterday that they were trying to trace William Cummins, who knew Ms Harrison and has lived in the Sparkhill and Sparkbrook areas of Birmingham. Detective Inspector Gerry Smith warned the public not to approach Mr Cummins, described as white, 5ft 6ins tall, and with brown eyes and short brown hair. He has recently been in the Kent and Dorset areas.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who saw Ms Harrison in the last week of March or the first week of April.
