The two self-confessed killers of Lee Rigby were today convicted of his murder as the family demanded that the “brainwashed” pair should never again be free after a three-week trial that publicly aired their violent Islamist philosophy.

Shocking mobile phone footage from the incident shows one of the killers, Michael Adebolajo, with his hands covered in blood addressing the camera.

"We must fight them as they fight us," he says.

"An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth."

He apologises that the horrific spectacle unfolded in front of women, but says that in Muslim countries women are faced with the same kind of sights.

He adds: "Remove your governments. They don't care about you."
