Greenham protest

Four women from the Greenham Common 'peace' camp disrupted a formal handing-back ceremony at the base which, until recently, housed American cruise missiles. The women crossed the airfield in a car to where the Stars and Stripes flag was being lowered for the last time. They made catcalls, sounded the car horn and swore until being dragged from the car by police and put outside the perimeter fence.
