Chariots Health Club: Three men hospitalised after incident at gay sauna
Several police cars and ambulances were called to the scene
Three men were rushed to hospital following a drugs related incident at a gay sauna in London.
Chariots Health Club in Vauxhall was temporarily closed after the incident which occurred in the morning on Sunday 1 February. Several police cars and ambulances were called to the scene.
A statement from the Metropolitan Police said: "Officers attended and spoke to a man in his thirties who admitted consuming class A drugs. He was taken to a north London hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
"Two other men were subsequently found collapsed inside the club. Both men were conveyed by London Ambulance Service to a central London hospital where they remain in a stable condition."
Pink News reported that in 2011, a separate branch of Chariots in Shoreditch was severly damaged in a fire. In 2012, a 46-year-old man was found dead in the Shoreditch Chariots.
The Vauxhall sauna has since reopened. The Independent has reached out to Chariots Health Club for comment.
