MoD names soldiers killed in Friday's mortar attack
Two British soldiers killed in a mortar attack on their base in Afghanistan have been named by the Ministry of Defence.
Corporal Andrew Steven Roberts, 32, and Private Ratu Manasa Silibaravi, also 32, of the Royal Logistic Corps died in what the MoD described as an "indirect fire attack" in the Nahr-e-Saraj district of Helmand on Friday.
They are the first British soldiers to die since the Taliban's spring offensive began last week. The deaths came as the Government's latest report on Afghanistan referred to the "high cost" of the mission.
