Police today released pictures of the two teenage friends who have been missing from home for nearly three days.

Corrina Stirland, 15, and 14-year-old Rebecca Armer were reported missing on Wednesday in Scunthorpe.

Humberside Police said their disappearance was out of character and they were concerned for their welfare.

The force said it had received reports from the public of an unconfirmed sighting of the girls at 6am today on Gainsborough Road, Kirton Lindsey.

The last confirmed sighting was by a friend at around 9.35pm on Thursday in the Cole Street area of Scunthorpe.

Corrina, of Hunt Road, is described as white, 5ft 4ins tall, of a slim build, with dark brown coloured straight hair and blue eyes.

She was last seen wearing a black coloured top, leggings, a belt and black coloured Ugg style boots.

Rebecca, of Buckingham Avenue, is described as white, 5ft 2ins tall, of a slim build, with very long and straight brown coloured hair and blue eyes.

It is not known what she was wearing.

A Humberside Police spokeswoman said: "The girls are friends and police are concerned due to their ages and the fact it is out of character for them to be missing.

"Corrina, Rebecca or anyone with any information about their whereabouts should contact Humberside Police on 0845 60 60 222 quoting log 785 of 02/06/10."
