BA cabin crew began a fresh five-day strike yesterday, the third and last in their current series of walkouts.

The strike, due to last until Wednesday, has raised the cost of the industrial action to the airline to well over £150m. The union is threatening to ballot its members again if the row is not resolved, which could disrupt flights throughout the summer months. But BA said more crew than expected had turned up for work at Heathrow airport.
