Video of the moment a lorry repeatedly rams a vehicle on the M1
The driver has criticised police for failing to respond to his emergency calls for three hours.
Dashcam footage has emerged showing the moment a large lorry repeatedly shunted a vehicle travelling on the motorway.
Matthew Stockdale was driving on the M1 near Northampton when he was approached by a lorry flashing its lights and blowing its horn.
The footage shows the lorry cutting across the lane, pulling in front of Mr Stockdale and in the process, colliding with the side of his vehicle three times.
In a police statement, he wrote “I honestly thought I was going to die.”
"My life literally rushed before my eyes. Whilst that sounds dramatic, I can honestly say I have never felt fear like it. I began shaking uncontrollably."
BBC has reported that the lorry driver is “no longer conducting deliveries”.
The video also includes a recording of the phone call made by Mr Stockdale to the Northamptonshire Police.
Mr Stockdale has criticised the Northamptonshire, Thames Valley and Bedfordshire police forces after they failed to respond to six emergency calls for three hours.
