Hospital cash
Three crisis-hit London teaching hospitals, with combined threatened shortfalls of up to pounds 30m this year, have been given nearly pounds 9m extra funding to tide them through 1992/93. The cash, from North East Thames regional health authority, goes to the UCH/Middlesex hospital complex (pounds 4.7m), St Bartholomew's (pounds 2.1m) and the Royal London (pounds 1.9m).
