Yasmin Gibson, 32, the actress who left her 11-year-old daughter, Gemma, at home in west London while she went on holiday to Spain, will not be prosecuted, Scotland Yard said.

The Crown Prosecution service has advised that a prosecution for alleged wilful abandonment is 'not in the public interest'. Gemma was taken into council care and made a ward of court last month after the incident.
