A senior Army officer was jailed for three years and ordered to be dismissed from the service for committing sex offences against a girl aged 13. A court martial at Aldershot was told that Lt-Col Antony Elford committed three offences while commanding the 16th Royal Signals Regiment in Germany. Finding and sentence are subject to confirmation.
