Rishi Sunak became more aware of online risks when daughter ‘got her own phone’
New bill will mean ‘we can regulate what children are being exposed to’, prime minister says
Rishi Sunak said his daughter getting her own phone made him more aware of the risks to children of going online.
The prime minister said the government’s Online Safety Bill was a “necessary piece of legislation” to reassure parents about the content their children view online.
Mr Sunak, who has two daughters Krishna and Anoushka, said the law would mean being able to “regulate what children are exposed to”.
