David Cameron must have had a good Christmas break. He was on good form at his speech on the economy in London today, which turned into a sort of rally-cum-press conference. He was cheered by supporters who left standing room only for grumbling journalists, but then spent more time confidently taking questions from the reporters than on the speech itself
