Paul Davies, now 18, who suffered severe brain damage when he was knocked off his bicycle by a lorry in 1984, stands to receive up to pounds 7m under a structured compensation settlement agreed in the High Court. Paul, of Wimborne, Dorset, will receive pounds 400,000 which will be invested to provide an inflation-proof income which could amount to pounds 7m.
