Steven Waling lives in Manchester. His previous publications include Riding Shotgun, winner of the Poetry Business pamphlet competition, and What the Snow Believes (Scratch). Two poems from What the Snow Believes were chosen for the Forward Book of Poetry 1994. This poem is from his latest collection Invisible Mending published next year by Group Press.
