Underground revives the golden age of steam with bank holiday excursions for Metropolitan Line charity

A steam locomotive hauling a London Underground special excursion train at Chorleywood station on the Metropolitan Line yesterday. Steam-drawn trains ran between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Amersham over the bank holiday weekend and a morning steam service ran between Wembley Park and Uxbridge. The events raised money for a Royal National Institute for the Blind school.
