Footage of a grandfather’s expletive-filled rant at a moped rider in Hull has sparked an endless stream of memes and video mash-ups.

Ronnie Pickering achieved unexpected fame when the video caught on a GoPro was uploaded to YouTube, showing the three-minute long confrontation on 21 September.

The 54-year-old called the moped rider a “c***” and “f***ing muppet”, while remonstrating him for “f***ing hanging about” and challenging him to a fight.

“Do you know who I am?” Mr Pickering asked, before shouting: “Ronnie f****** Pickering!”

“Oh, well. Brilliant!” his bemused adversary replied, adding: “You someone famous, are you?”

Now, it appears he is. The video has made headlines around the world, being viewed by more than half a million people after being shared on Reddit as “a very British road rage incident”.

Mr Pickering has apologised for his outburst, telling the Hull Daily Mail he is “not an aggressive guy” and merely wanted to give the rider “a few of my thoughts”.

Here are some of the best Ronnie Pickering mash-ups. They may contain very strong language.
