Advertisers have seized the publicity potential of President Itamar Franco's carnival consort, Lilian Ramos, who sported a T-shirt but no knickers, to launch a marketing campaign for underwear, AFP reports from Rio de Janeiro. A lingerie company, Valisere, splashed its advertisements in Brazilian newspapers. 'Lilian, if I were you, I'd wear Valisere,' read the ad, that also featured a woman's lower half sporting a lacy pair of pants.
