Zimbabwe's Prime Minister, Morgan Tsvangirai, fired four cabinet ministers and shifted a fifth to a new post, saying they had failed a performance review.
Mr Tsvangirai said the slow pace of restoring law and order and of achieving democratic reforms had led to "a loss of confidence". "As a result, I have decided on a number of changes," he said of the first reshuffle since he took office in a power-sharing deal in February last year.
All ministers involved were from his Movement for Democratic Change. He has no power to remove ministers from President Robert Mugabe's Zanu-PF.
