Air deaths
A helicopter crashed in northern Afghanistan yesterday killing all 15 people on board, including two American reporters, British aid officials said, Reuter reports from Kabul. The helicopter went down near the northern Afghan town of Pul-i-Khumri, 105 miles north of Kabul, said officials of the British-based Halo Trust charity which found the wreckage. Friends and colleagues in New Delhi identified the Americans as Sharon Harbaugh, 41, chief of bureau in Pakistan for the Associated Press, and Natasha Singh, 25, a freelance television reporter.
