Alec Baldwin’s impressions of Donald Trump have poked fun at the President-elect ever since his election.

The actor turned satirist has been consistently mocking Mr Trump on Saturday Night Live, entertaining Americans worried about their political future.

Now, Mr Baldwin has found a novel new way to make fun of Mr Trump.

He posted a ‘selfie’ to his Instagram page wearing the distinctive red baseball cap and slogan worn by the President-elect’s supporters during his election campaign.

Except there was one key difference: "Make America Great Again" was written in Russian.

Mr Trump has unnerved the US political and intelligence establishment with his friendly overtures to Russian President Vladmir Putin.

On Saturday, Mr Trump tweeted: “Having a good relationship with Russia is a good thing, not a bad thing. Only "stupid" people, or fools, would think that it is bad!

“We have enough problems around the world without yet another one. When I am President, Russia will respect us far more than they do now and both countries will, perhaps, work together to solve some of the many great and pressing problems and issues of the world!”

Mr Trump has also cast doubt on allegations by US intelligence agencies that the Russian government backed hackers to interfere in the US election.
